How do I track my buy order?
You can track the real-time progress of your Bitcoin buy order from the transaction details page.
This applies to both BTC Pay and BTC Vault purchases.
How do I open my buy order?
Open the Bitnomi app.
Go to your transaction history.
Find the buy order you want to track.
Tap the transaction entry to open the Payment details page.
Select the Updates tab.
The Updates tab shows the current stage of your order and the time each completed step occurred.
What do the buy order updates mean?
Update | What it means |
|---|---|
Buy order initiated | Your buy order has been placed successfully. The displayed time shows when the order was created. |
Verification in progress | The Bitnomi team is reviewing your order details and bank payment. |
Verification completed | Bitnomi has verified your order details and bank payment. |
Purchase in progress | The Bitnomi team is processing your Bitcoin purchase. |
Purchase processed | The Bitnomi team has processed your Bitcoin purchase. |
Awaiting network confirmation | Your Bitcoin purchase has been processed and is ready for network confirmation. |
Confirmed by on-chain/ lightning network | The Bitcoin transaction has been confirmed by the relevant Bitcoin network. |
How does network confirmation work?
The final confirmation depends on the wallet selected for the purchase.
BTC Pay
For BTC Pay purchases, the final step confirms that the transaction has been completed through the Lightning Network.
BTC Pay purchases are generally confirmed faster than on-chain purchases.
BTC Vault
For BTC Vault purchases, the final step confirms that the transaction has been processed by the Bitcoin on-chain network.
On-chain confirmation may take longer depending on:
Bitcoin network activity
The network fee
How quickly the transaction is included in a block
A transaction waiting for network confirmation does not necessarily mean the order has failed.
How long does a buy order take?
Most Bitnomi buy orders are usually completed within 24 hours after the payment is submitted.
The exact time may vary depending on:
How quickly the payment is verified
Whether additional information is required
Bitcoin network activity
Network confirmation time for BTC Vault purchases
You can check the Updates tab at any time to follow the latest progress of your order.
What do the order statuses mean?
Status | What it means |
|---|---|
Pending | Your order is still being verified, processed, or confirmed by the network. |
Success | All steps are complete and the Bitcoin has been added to your selected wallet. |
Failed or cancelled | The order could not be completed. Check the Updates tab or contact Bitnomi Support for more information. |
How do I know which step is in progress?
In the Updates tab:
Completed steps are shown with a check mark.
The current step is highlighted as in progress.
Future steps remain incomplete until the order reaches them.
The latest highlighted step shows the current position of your buy order.
What should I do if my order is not progressing?
Check that:
You completed the bank transfer within the allowed time.
You used the bank account approved by Bitnomi.
You transferred the correct amount.
You tapped I have made the payment.
You responded to any request for additional information.
