Do both wallets hold Bitcoin?

Yes. BTC Pay and BTC Vault both hold Bitcoin.

The difference is how the Bitcoin is transferred and what each wallet is designed for. Moving Bitcoin between them does not change the asset you own.


Which wallet should I choose when buying Bitcoin?

Choose BTC Pay when you expect to use the Bitcoin for fast payments, smaller transfers or everyday spending.

Choose BTC Vault when you want to hold the Bitcoin or use the Bitcoin on-chain network.

Before confirming a buy order, check the selected wallet, transaction fees and minimum order amount.


Which wallet should I choose when selling Bitcoin?

Select the wallet that currently contains the Bitcoin you want to sell.

  • Choose BTC Pay to sell Bitcoin from your BTC Pay balance.

  • Choose BTC Vault to sell Bitcoin from your BTC Vault balance.

The payment method, fees and processing time may differ depending on the selected wallet.


Can I move Bitcoin between BTC Pay and BTC Vault?

Currently, this feature is not designed exclusively in the app, but it may still be possible by using your wallet addresses and performing a standard send or receive transaction.

A network fee, minimum amount or confirmation time may apply depending on the transfer method. Review the transaction details before confirming.


Which wallet is more secure?

BTC Pay and BTC Vault are designed for different uses. One is not automatically better for every situation. Choose the wallet that matches the type of payment or transfer you want to make.
