How do I receive Bitcoin?

You can receive Bitcoin into Bitnomi using Lightning, Bitcoin on-chain, or Spark.

The network you choose determines which wallet receives the Bitcoin, how quickly the payment may arrive, and which address or invoice you need to share.

Actual processing time may vary depending on network conditions.

How do I start receiving Bitcoin?

You can start from either of these places:

• Open BTC Pay or BTC Vault, then tap Receive

• Tap Receive from the home page

The homepage Receive option opens the Lightning receive screen by default. You can then choose another supported network when needed.

What will Bitnomi show me?

The details shown depend on the selected network:

Lightning

Bitnomi shows your Lightning address or invoice and a QR code.

You can also enter an amount to generate a Lightning invoice for a specific payment.

Bitcoin on-chain

Bitnomi shows your Bitcoin on-chain address and QR code.

Bitcoin received through this method is added to BTC Vault.

Spark

Bitnomi shows your Spark address and QR code.

Bitcoin received through Spark is added to BTC Pay.

How do I copy or share my payment details?

To copy the address or invoice:

1. Tap Copy.

2. The details will be copied to your clipboard.

3. Bitnomi will show a confirmation message.

To share it:

1. Tap Share.

2. Choose an app or sharing method from your device.

3. Send the address or invoice to the payer.

The address or invoice is shared as plain text.

What happens after someone sends the Bitcoin?

The sender scans your QR code or pastes the payment details into their wallet.

They may need to enter an amount if the address or invoice does not already include one.

Once the payment is processed:

• You will receive a notification

• Your balance will update in BTC Pay or BTC Vault

• The transaction will appear in your transaction history

What happens if the wrong network is used?

The sender must use the same network as the receiving details you shared.

• A Lightning invoice must be paid through Lightning.

• A Spark address must be paid through Spark.

• A Bitcoin address must be paid through the Bitcoin on-chain network.

Using the wrong network may cause the payment to fail, remain unavailable, or result in permanent loss of funds.

Always tell the sender which network to use.

What happens if the address or invoice is wrong?

• Invalid address or invoice: The sender’s wallet should prevent the payment.

• Expired Lightning invoice: The sender cannot complete the payment. Generate a new invoice.

• Wrong but valid address: The Bitcoin may be sent to another wallet and may not be recoverable.

• Incorrect copied details: The payment may fail or go to the wrong destination.

Use the Copy or Share options instead of typing the details manually. Check the first and last few characters before sending them to someone.

Which wallet receives the Bitcoin?

• Lightning and Spark payments are added to BTC Pay.

• Bitcoin on-chain payments are added to BTC Vault.
