How do I send Bitcoin?

You can send Bitcoin from either BTC Pay or BTC Vault in the Bitnomi app.

• Open BTC Pay or BTC Vault, then tap Send

• Expired Lightning invoice: The payment cannot be completed. Ask the recipient to create a new invoice.

• Wrong but valid address: The Bitcoin may be sent to the wrong recipient. Bitcoin transactions generally cannot be cancelled or reversed.

• Wrong network: The transaction may fail, the recipient may not be able to access the Bitcoin, or the funds could be permanently lost.

Make sure the payment details match the selected network:

• Use a Lightning invoice for a Lightning payment.

• Use a supported Spark payment request for a Spark payment.

• Use a Bitcoin address for an on-chain payment.

Avoid manually typing a payment address when you can scan or paste it. After scanning or pasting, review the details before confirming.

You will be asked to approve the transaction using:

• Your Bitnomi PIN, or

• Fingerprint or Face ID, if enabled

The transaction will be submitted after successful authentication.

How long does it take?

• BTC Pay transactions are usually completed quickly.

• BTC Vault transactions may remain pending until they receive confirmation from the Bitcoin network.

The exact time depends on the selected network, fee, and current network activity.

Open the transaction from your transaction history to view its latest status and details.
