How do I complete KYC?

You must complete KYC before you can activate your Bitnomi wallet.

KYC helps Bitnomi confirm your identity, understand how you plan to use the service, and meet its compliance needs.

Complete the three KYC steps:

1. Answer the onboarding questions

Fill out a few simple questions to help tailor your experience and clarify how you plan to use Bitnomi.

Make sure the information you provide is accurate and belongs to you.

2. Connect your bank account

Add a Sri Lankan bank account in your name and linked to your NIC number.

You should use this account to:

• Make payments for Bitcoin buy orders.

• Receive LKR payments from Bitcoin sell orders.

Using a different bank account for a buy order may require extra verification and could slow down the order.

3. Verify your identity

Confirm your identity using one of the following documents:

• National Identity Card

• Driving license

• Passport

Follow the app's instructions to submit your identity document and finish the verification process.

What happens after I complete these steps?

After you submit all three KYC steps, a Bitnomi compliance officer will review your information.

You will then receive a video call for a final compliance check. Ensure full-screen notifications are on so you can receive the call.

What happens after the review?

After the compliance review, one of the following will occur:

• Approved: You can create your wallet and start using Bitnomi.

• Further information required: The compliance team will reach out for more information or clarification.

• Rejected: Your Bitnomi wallet will not be activated, and you won’t be able to complete onboarding.

Make sure all information and documents you submit are accurate, up to date, and yours.
