How do I create a Bitnomi account?

Welcome to Bitnomi! We're thrilled to have you here. If you’re a Sri Lankan citizen living in Sri Lanka, you’re in the right place.

Before you dive in

Just a few things you'll need to get started:

• A Sri Lankan mobile number

• Access to an email, Google, or Apple account

• A compatible Android or iOS device

Creating your account

Let’s get your Bitnomi account set up. Follow these simple steps:

1. Open the Bitnomi app.

2. Choose how you’d like to create your account:

   • Select Register to sign up using your email and the verification code (OTP).

   • Tap Continue with Google for a hassle-free sign-up with your Google account.

   • Choose Continue with Apple if you're on an iOS device to sign up with your Apple account

3. Enter your mobile number and check your messages for the OTP to verify it.

4. Set up your Bitnomi PIN to secure your account.

5. Choose whether you want to enable biometric authentication for faster access.

   • Fingerprint authentication on Android or

   • Face ID on supported iOS devices

6. When asked, allow full-screen notifications. This helps you receive video calls during the KYC process without missing any important alerts.

7. Once you’re all set, you’ll be welcomed to the Bitnomi home page.

About your PIN and Biometric authentication

Your PIN is your key. It’s what you'll use to sign in and approve transactions. For added ease of use, you can opt for biometric authentication, but it’s totally up to you.

Why full-screen notifications?

We might need to do a video call as part of the KYC (Know Your Customer) process. Granting full-screen notifications ensures that you won’t miss any important calls.
